Toronto Pentaxian First Meet - Toronto Zoo

It is great to finally able to meet some of the guys in the Pentax Forum in real life. I would like to thank Daniel and Peter for coming out. I was able to play around Daniel’s Zenitar fisheye and Peter’s FA 400/4.5, wonderful lens!

Anyways we head to Toronto Zoo after meeting in Scarborough Town Centre, I was worrying about the weather at first since it said that it is going to be raining in the afternoon; but guess what? No rain and the weather is Great! We have a great time! At the end of the day I run out of both batteries. Well I guess I forgot to charge them after several events I have shot.

The Butterflies house is a bonus, I don’t even know they have it in the zoo.

The catch of the day: The Great Blue Heron

I took a day off for my friend’s wedding rehearsal, which suppose to meet at 3. However, due to traffic and other issues, they are not ready yet. So I spend my time walk around Main Street and I saw this bird (see below) flying toward the pond direction. Needless to say, I follow but I was unable to find it at first while following the path along the pond. Not until I decide to give up and go back to the street for a cold drink

Anyways, it was hunting fish under the bridge, I caught it got a small one at first. I waited with it for at least another 25 mins. (It was under the shade, but I was under the sun…) Then I got this. Well worth the wait I guess, at least I didn’t shout at my friend for the one hour late.

Goodbye Ben! take care of yourself!

Ben, our accounting lead, is returning to his homeland after working here for 11 years. We have a farewell party for him. It is great! We will miss you Ben~ Best wishes and don’t forget about us!

Rose in the garden

My mom has spend much time taking care of all the plants. (She actually said that they are better than me since if she take care of them at least they will show her some flowers) As for me, I love taking picture of flowers, especially after I got this K 50mm f1.2, everything is like in a dream.

A Day in Hamilton.

Took a day off for my sister’s graduation. As in a dim light indoor theater, K10D did try to hunt for focus which later on I just switch to manual and all went well. I am still amazed by the FA 77 ltd sharpness and color, FA35mm work great to cover the whole stage.

We went to HabourFront after for lunch, took some funny family photos, it was great. We didn’t walk on the Princess Point trail tho, but took several picture of the swan family.
